The beer battered fried fish made me drool, and that sangria mocktail sounds yummy! I’ve been abstaining more lately, mostly because I’m starting to feel terrible after even just one glass of wine, so I’m very interested in mocktail recipes. A glass of a pretty drink is still such a vibe, you know?!
I know exactly what you mean. At some point after 40 I had to start being way more moderate and strategic with alcohol. And it’s just gotten worse from there. 😂 I also sometimes substitute kombucha for a cocktail. I pour it into a wine or cocktail glass and then add some fresh lemon or lime juice and a few dashes of bitters. It delivers the same fun-drink feeling but I don’t feel like shit the next day.
That’s a great use of kombucha. I use Pelligrino! 🤣 A little juice or a few berries makes it a little special. Especially when I pour it into a floating wine glass while I’m in the pool. We gotta romanticize the hell out of life right now!
Wow, all of the recipes sound so amazing—the beer battered fish, the chocolate chip cake with peanut butter fudge icing, but I think I need to try that lentil oxtail stew first! 🤩
Ditto, Kerry and Betty. The further I scrolled down the recipes, the more my mouth watered. And I don't eat meat, but I'm here for the veg version of that stew! And absolutely trying the sangria mocktail this summer. Excellent curation, Rebecca!

Yes, yes! I love sparkling water with a little juice in a wine glass! I’m missing the pool… but the back deck is a good stand-in. :-)
You live a life of incredible adventure. Anywhere you are is amazing!
Cherry Crumble Bars sound delicious!
My husband is a cherry pie lover and says they are almost as good. I think they might be better. 😊
Ooooh, sounds like a food tasting competition is on the horizon!
Reheats are a hit!
Love the lentil stew photo and defo trying that one soon! Hope you are enjoying your vacay!
Thank you my friend! On the plane home now. We had a wonderful time and I am also looking forward to being home. :-)
Love these reheats, Rebecca—a chance to catch up on past newsletters I haven’t seen. I hope you are having an amazing trip! 💕
Thank you Elizabeth! On the plane back home now. We had a wonderful time, and I’m also looking forward to being home. :-)

Thank you Kerry! I hope you love that stew as much as we do!
I came here to say the same thing! That stew looks amazing!
Thank you my friend!

Thank you Wendy! I drank a lot of those sangria mocktails last summer and plan to do the same thing this year.
