I can definitely relate to wanting to go through people's homes. I have always been interested in people most of my life. I have gone through many empty abandoned houses and wondered who lived here, what they experienced in life, etc. If only the walls could talk! Then I try to imagine how the house would have looked when fully decorated. My imagination just goes on and on. I love to sit on a bench in a public place and watch people pass. I read books about people and learn about their pain, their life good or bad, their wisdom from life experiences. People just plain interest me.
I feel EXACTLY the same as you when it comes to experiencing other people's lives. It's also the reason I love reading so much - I feel emotions I wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to feel in my own life. As for invisibility... I want to know where the aliens are! 👽 Quick question: how do you get your photos to appear as portraits in the gallery? Mine always come out as square.
I'm right there with you on invisibility and peeking inside people's home. It would be fascinating to observe their rituals and rhythms throughout the day. But, since that is not possible, I will have to content myself with looking at Zillow listings. :)
Thank you so much Rebecca for the shout out, and including the FoodStack Library in your post. I am delighted to have you onboard as one of the contributors and look forward to reading your regular FoodStack Reads posts over the coming months. And not to mention inviting us into your kitchen next week where we get to see how you manage cooking and writing in your lovely RV, while travelling around the USA.
I'm utterly fascinated by abandoned homes and buildings. If the walls could talk! Walking through them makes you feel connected, in some way, to history and humanity.
And oh my heavens!!! Your recipes are wonderful and your food photography is stellar. I'm so glad I found this site.!
Yes! I’m happy to hear that you relate! I can hardly tear myself away. And thank you so much for your kind and generous words! I am so happy to have met you!

We are basically the same person, Claudia.

Another one of my favorite activities. I had a hunch you might relate. :-)

I am so happy to be there. It’s a brilliant resource and I’m having a blast meeting other food writers, bakers, cooks, and foodies.
