The cave swim was a trip! And after being out in the hot sun all morning the water was pure bliss. I have a friend who has made those cherry turnovers about a thousand times. The recipe includes old photos that desperately need to be retaken, but to say it’s been well tested is an understatement. πŸ˜‚

Gosh, Covid SUCKS, I thought people were exaggerating too πŸ˜‚ - I was so sick, I had a new baby and had lost my mom a couple months before it struck our whole family, me baby, son and my husband - we are so weirdly joined by our shared Covid experiences, it makes me think of a Latin phrase β€œsunt lacrimae rerun” and it very roughly translates to β€œthe sadness of things” and the character who says it in the Aeneid is talking about how as humans when someone has a bad time we all know what it’s like - anyways - glad conditions are slowly improving - keep resting, longer than you want to, you can do it πŸ’š

Covid does suck! You are right! But, oh my... to be sick with a new baby after losing your mom. That must have been so terrible Rosalind.

Thank you for sharing that phrase... the sadness of things. After losing our son in 2020, I was going about day to day activities, like grocery shopping, and breaking apart inside. Those experiences really do change our perspective, don't they? I now look out at all the people in the world and know that I don't have any idea what most of them are going through but that many of them are in pain, even if I can't see it. Sunt lacrimae rerun.

Your advice to keep resting longer than we want to is sound. We overdid it on Sunday and spent yesterday on the couch as a result. We won't make that mistake again. :-)
