Edna sounds like someone I might quite like for a neighbor. There are times when I'm not in the mood for the small talk demanded from polite society. Edna has freed herself from that and I'm envious.

I feel exactly the same way Martina.

Rebecca,

I enjoyed reading about Edna.

Everyone walks to a different beat of a drum.

I enjoy watching people, I can tell if the person is or was in the military. I thank this young man, he said what for, I told him for keeping us safe. he asked how did I know, I told him by the way you stand, observing your surroundings.

I love this Nancy!

I love this concept. Several books could be written about this. We were full-time for 5 years part time for another three. We never ran into a stranger. Everybody has a story to tell and they want to here yours. I can't look at your posts too often. I'll get hungry.

I love this! And I totally know what you mean about never meeting a stranger. It’s one of my favorite things about travel- the reminder that there are good people everywhere. Thank you for the kind, encouraging words today Jim.

Love love love this. Thank you for sharing. I particularly enjoyed your line about the tyranny of 'should' and 'should not'! You go Edna!

I regularly make up stories about people, particularly at breakfast in hotels, and it's nice to see I'm not the only one!

Thank you Shell! I love that you share this strange past time. :-) Whenever we stay in a hotel I just come down in the morning for coffee and then head straight back to my room. Perhaps next time, I’ll sit for a bit.

This was divine. Edna for President. 🥂

Food and photography stunning as always. 🥰

The problem with Edna is that she doesn’t care enough to do the job. Even still, I’d vote for her. 😂 Thank you so much, friend. ❤️

I read this entire post with a massive smile on my face. One of my kids asked what I was reading! I may ‘mind my own business’ but I love observing and secretly guess what is going on - haha!.

I too would be watching Edna - a lot!

I love that you share this quirky past time, Sheryl!!! People are fascinating… especially the ones that live inside my imagination. 😂

I share your love for watching people and imagining their lives and histories. And I love Edna’s story. Thanks for sharing it.

Glad to know I’m not alone! So funny to think of all of us making up stories about each other. Maybe other people have stories about you and me!

Oh I love this! And I guess I do something similar watching out my dining room windows at the goings on in my neighborhood, lol! 😂 Love this Rebecca! And your Live with your girl was so fun 🤩

I had a feeling you might relate. 😊

Hahaha! My daughter gives me a ration of it when I give her the update 😂 “Mom, don’t be like Mrs Kravitz” (remember the nosy neighbor from Bewitched, hahaha!).

Rebecca Blackwell's avatar

Hahaha! But Mrs Kravitz had the most fun.
