Wooo hoooo!! You passed those certs! Are there still more to go? Now that I’m finally in a place with air conditioning, you post these insane recipes…and my mom’s retirement home does have an oven!! Picking which one to make first. ❤️ Do you ever use egg substitute? I’m allergic to egg whites and in Italy usually sub with acqua faba or ground flax seed. Should I look for the same here?
Thank you! The American Sailing Association offers several other classes which we may or may not take. The first three are the most important - they cover the logistics of managing the boat, understanding all the boat systems, and basic navigation. What we need now is experience, so we are working out the best way to get it! :-)
Welcome to air conditioning!!! Not having air conditioning would be hard for me... do you find that you're able to get used to it? I think you could use whatever you've used in Italy for an egg substitute. You should easily be able to find both here in the states. The berry sauce doesn't, of course, have any eggs. And both pie recipes would be easy to make with a crust that doesn't contain eggs, although my pie crust recipe includes an egg yolk... could you eat that?
I can’t wait to hear the update in person. Re: AC, I don’t mind not having it for a lot of reasons, but it GREATLY decreases any desire to cook in the evening when the day is at it’s hottest
