The Lost Supper Club, Issue #35, All the recipes from the 1st Lost Supper Club dinner! + Win a copy of the Let's Get Lost cookbook! + San Diego restaurant recommendations + SoCal cooking
As far as I can tell, the only thing that makes for a successful supper club is that the people involved want to be there. Also, if it's going to be a regularly reoccurring thing, I think you need at least one person to kind of be "in charge". The hosting responsibilities can move from person to person, but I think it helps to have one person who ensures that the next date is on the calendar and ensures that everyone knows what's going on.
Thank you so much Gregory! I was just pleased as punch (where in the world does that phrase come from?) with the first one. It left me glowing with optimism for the rest of the year. :-)
Thank you Rebecca for a wonderful time!!! I loved finally meeting you face to face and was so honored to be at the first Lost Supper Club! And, both of those cakes were to die for - girl, you are a BAKER! So so good! 🙌
Dustin is making your tacos today for his birthday celebration! And I am already plotting their reappearance at our table. They were crazy good. Thank you for hosting that with me, friend. It won't be the last time we have dinner togehether, I'm certain.
There is so much I love about this newsletter! Seeing you and Betty looking simply adorable!!! I am very feeling very envious of all who attended this marvellous supper club. Those pork tacos, the orange and date upside down cake with candied pistachioes, the olive oil cake with mascapone lemon pastry cream. Beautiful!
Also, this sentence: Who among us isn't a cluster fuck of contradictions.
I flamin' love it and am going to be using that in a conversation very soon!
It was so fun to get to meet Betty face to face! You must let me know if we're ever in your area (where are you located?) because I have a very strong feeling we'd throw a fantastic party.
Amazing! What a delightful trip through your visit with the Premiere Gathering of the Lost Supper Club 🍸 The food and your company seemed perfect. I can't wait to try some of the amazing recipes and listen to Betty's new Podcast! Best of Luck to all. See you soon in Snowy NOLA... #blizzardhitsthesouth 😂☃️
I love everything about this issue except that I now feel tremendously jealous of everyone who got to be part of the first Lost Supper Club. I have a feeling Christine is feeling the same way. 🥰
The upside down cake looks so good. I've printed off the recipe and will make.
That salad sounds amazing and love supper clubs and gatherings. What do you think makes a successful one?

Thank you Lindsey! And thank you for sharing your cookbook club with us!
I love the Lost Supper Club! It's a great idea, and it sounds like the first one went perfectly! Congratulations!

It looked fun!
Aw, that would be phenomenal! I live near London so a bit of a trek. But I agree, I think we'd throw a super fun and absolutely delicious party!

I'm hoping all that snow nonsense is gone by the time we get there! Snow and NOLA are not meant to go together!
Congratulations on your first Lost Supper Club event. I am so pleased that you and Betty have finally got to meet in real life.
Thank you Lynn! It was so fun to get to meet Betty face to face! It's an experience I hope to replicate over and over again.

As is true with everything, it would have been even better if you were there with us. Everything is always better when you're there. ❤️
